The Ear Institute of Chicago is a medical and surgical practice that devotes itself entirely to the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the ear, facial nerve and related structures (otology/neurotology and skull base surgery). The Ear Institute of Chicago is a practice of AMITA Health Medical Group (formerly Adventist Health Partners) and is actively engaged in research and teaching through its affiliation with the Northwestern University Medical School. This website is designed to educate and inform our patients, physicians and other health care professionals.

Robert Battista, MD, presented two posters at the May 2016 Combined Otolaryngology Society Meeting (COSM) in Chicago, IL. The title of the two posters were: "Long-Term Results of the Treatment of Idiopathic Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss" and "Rare Metastatic Lesions of the Internal Auditory Canal".
Robert Battista, MD and Vasilike Rauch, AuD, presented to local ENT physicians, primary care physicians and audiologists in September 2016 regarding "Tinnitus Treatments and the Association of Hearing Loss with Dementia and Cardiovascular Disease". Richard J. Wiet, MD, FACS has retired after over 30 years of service. The Ear Institute of Chicago, and all of the patients Dr. Wiet served, will be forever grateful for the contributions he has made to the field of otology/neurotology. We wish him much happiness in his retirement.
